Animal Care
What is Animal Chiropractic?
Animal chiropractic is experiencing rapid growth today. It involves using spinal adjustments to address musculoskeletal issues in animals. This practice is commonly performed on dogs, horses, and cats but can also be suitable for other vertebrate species. The techniques used in veterinary chiropractic are similar to those used in human patients.
Chiropractic care for animals focuses on resolving musculoskeletal problems but can also effectively address spinal and digestive issues. If your animal companion is experiencing any of these issues, we welcome you both to visit Southern Touch Healthcare for assistance.
Our Services
Like humans, pets often face musculoskeletal issues such as hip dysplasia, stiffness, and intervertebral disk disease. The good news is that pet chiropractic care can effectively address these conditions.
Animal chiropractic focuses on maintaining the health of the spinal column and the nervous system, which are vital for your pet’s overall well-being. By optimizing skeletal biomechanics, chiropractic care can also enhance the performance of your horse, dog, or cat.
It focuses on addressing the root cause of these issues rather than just treating symptoms.
By carefully adjusting the spine, we can restore proper alignment and improve your pet’s range of motion. This holistic approach allows your furry friend’s body to function optimally and heal naturally.
Chiropractic care benefits pets of all ages and lifestyles, including young puppies, seniors, working dogs, and animal athletes.

Disclaimer
Animal Chiropractic does not involve prescribing medication, conducting surgeries, administering injections, or substituting essential traditional veterinary treatment. A doctor of veterinary medicine needs to examine and rule out any underlying conditions before an animal chiropractic session. We strongly advocate for collaborative care with your veterinary professional to ensure the best and most comprehensive treatment for your pet’s well-being.

What is Low Level Laser Therapy? DOES LOW LEVEL LASER THERAPY HURT?
No, Erchonia’s low level lasers do not heat or freeze the skin.
Low level laser therapy is a form of alternative medicine that uses laser light at low levels. The light is applied to the surface skin of the body with the intentions of decreasing pain or inflammation, promoting healing of wounds, tissues, and nerves, or for preventing tissue damage. This is much different than the high-level lasers that we know for surgical procedures to cut and destroy unhealthy tissue.
